Gas pipeline of Chinese section of China and Russia eastern
starts construction
On June 29, 2015 afternoon, the China section opening ceremony of eastern natural gas pipeline between China and Russia was hold by video from Beijing, Moscow and Heihe construction site, marked that the energy channels of the link between China and Russia start construction.
The China section between China and Russia eastern gas pipeline is started from Heihe City, Heilongjiang Province in China and Russian border, ended in Shanghai, passing by Heilongjiang, Jilin, Inner Mongolia, Laoning, Hebei, Tianjin, Shandong, Jiangsu, Shanghai of nine provinces, propose a new 3170 kilometers, parallel use existing pipeline 1800 km, and supporting the construction of underground gas storage, which will be completed and put into production in 2018 as planned.
Between China and the eastern gas pipeline will have a positive and far-reaching influence for promoting clean energy supply in our country, optimizing the energy structure, achieving energy conservation and emissions reduction, improving the atmospheric environment, the governance air haze, improve people's quality of life, social and economic sustainable development etc.. Introduce 38 billion m3 of gas per year, reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 163.78 million tons compared with coal,, reduce sulfur dioxide emissions by 1.82 million tons, reduce nitrogen oxide emissions by 460000 tons, reduce dust emissions of 840000 tons, will effectively ease the shortage of natural gas in northeast China, to improve the air pollution status of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and promote the adjustment of energy structure along the Yangtze river delta region.
The eastern gas pipeline between China and Russia is China's largest caliber and the highest pressure long distance natural gas pipeline, which will have a positive role in promoting our country iron and steel smelting, pipe, equipment manufacturing and industry development.
