Thailand PTP-NM Natural Gas Pipeline HDD pulling-back Completed Successfully
Thailand PTP-NM natural gas pipeline spreads along Thailand 2# highway from west to east, and passes through Saraburi and NakhonRetchasima in Thailand. The pipe is 28″ longitudinal-seam, the length is 111.133km. There are 2 gas stations (the first is extended, the last is new constructed) and 6 line truncation valve chambers.
Along Thailand 2# highway, there are many residences, shops, high pressure wire rods and government sectors, etc. Because of the narrow and complex construction site and the high pressure wire, the construction of directional drilling is very difficult.
The HDD(Horizontal Directional Drilling) project that our company undertook is 836m, main layer that pass through is slightly airslake sandstone, angle of enter and out soil is 8°, pass through depth is14m, the layers have variety from soft to hard. With the joint efforts of all staff of our company in Thailand, including Chen Wenliang, Jia Dongfang, Wang Weiliang, Ji Shigui, Tian Sheng, Shen Zhenchao etc. and under the lead of Thailand Branch company Manager Wang Yanmin and Project manager Lai Yongbin, we have overcome many difficulties, avoided all kinds of risks, and successfully completed pull-back work at 11:58 on May 24, 2015 .The construction period was 80 days.
The success of pulling-back work through complex layers in Thailand has enriched our company’s experience on directional drilling construction. At the same time, it means that our directional drilling technique has also moved to the world after our pipeline installation, pipe test pressure, anti-corrosion, non-excavation techniques! Thailand branch Company will continue to strive to take more perfect measures for the Thailand and Southeast Asian countries’oil, gas, municipal water and drainage industry and we will struggle to make greater contributions in the future.
